Bethan Semmens

Originally from Cardiff, Bethan earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, receiving the Daniel Emlyn Davies Award. She then pursued a Masters in Performance at London's Royal College of Music and Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, supported by The Carne Trust and the Arts Council of Wales Award, graduating with Distinction in 2013.

Bethan has since built a diverse career in the UK as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral harpist. Career highlights include commissioning a harp and choir piece premiered at the 14th World Harp Congress, initiating a concert series at Penarth's Pier Pavilion, and performing at notable festivals such as St David's Cathedral Festival and Fishguard International Music Festival. She has also contributed to Live Music Now for 12 years. Bethan regularly performs with WNO, BBC NOW, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Northern Ballet, British Sinfonietta, English Symphony Orchestra, and The Novello Orchestra.
